Our
mission is to provide spiritual,
social
and financial support
to
the Parish of St. Joseph.
All women of the Parish are invited
and encouraged to join us
for our monthly meetings and various
service projects throughout the year.
At our monthly
meetings we strive for a balance of faith, fellowship and service, assisted
this year by our parochial vicar, Fr. Timothy Harris, who as our chaplain
gives us
presentations on faith as Catholic women.
Our various services to the parish include (but are not limited to)
sponsoring the annual Women’s Retreat,
assisting at
the Parish BBQ food service line and bake sale, planning and running the annual
Craft Fair, collecting gifts for and preparation of the Christmas gift bags for
Outreach,
and providing
support and assistance with the sacramental receptions for First Communion,
Confirmation, and Adult converts. We
also stock, staff and maintain
the Religious
Goods stand in the vestibule. Funds
generated from stand sales are made available to those in the parish with
special needs.
We meet on the
third Thursday of each month from September to May, and all are welcome.
Many hands
make light work – if you would like to join us and/or assist with any of the
projects mentioned here
call president
Diane Hill at (703) 444-6884 or e-mail diane@greatfallsgourmet.com.
